FINANCIAL AID

Three types of aid:

  • Grants

-   no repayment

-   based on financial need

-   Cal Grant guarantee: “Every high school senior who graduates after June 30, 2000, meets the academic, financial and eligibility requirements and applies on time is guaranteed a Cal Grant award to attend college.”

  • Work Study

-         employment

-    based on when the application is submitted and college’s funding level

 

  • Loans

-    repayment with low interest rate

 

HOW TO APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID
  • The student and one parent must apply for a PIN number at www.pin.ed.gov in order to file for FAFSA online in January.

  • Social Security number is needed for the Cal Grant’s GPA verification.  Be sure to submit the SS# to Mrs. Ponce in the Career Center. 

  • March 2nd is the FINAL DEADLINE!

  • Millikan is offering a financial aid workshop on January 17, 2007.
